Focus Keeper is one of the most-rated Pomodoro timers on the App Store and has lately been repositioned as an ADHD organizer. Pomo is a Pomodoro timer built like an appliance, with a native Mac app. This leaflet sets the two side by side, with the date on which the comparison was made.
Focus Keeper is made by PIXO Inc. and runs on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch; on the Mac it is the iPad app, and its site lists web and Android versions as well. Its App Store subtitle in November 2026 reads ADHD Organizer and Productivity, and the site claims more than 65,000 users. The free tier is the timer; Pro is listed at $3.99 a month, $34.99 a year or $99.99 for life on the US App Store, and reviews mention that the break length is among the settings held back for Pro. Focus Keeper is rated 4.8 stars from about 32,000 US ratings as listed in November 2026, one of the largest review bases of any Pomodoro timer on Apple's store. It suits people who want a timer that many others use and who are mostly on the iPhone.

Compared on 2 November 2026. Pomo's column is from this manual. Focus Keeper's column is from its public App Store listing and website as read on that date; details change, and a cell marked not checked means the point was not read for this leaflet. Pro in red marks a feature the other app sells in its paid tier.
Focus Keeper has about 32,000 US ratings at 4.8 stars. That is a great many people who have run it daily and kept it, and Pomo, awaiting its first App Review, has no ratings at all.
Focus Keeper's site lists web and Android versions. Pomo runs on the Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch and nowhere else; if part of your day is on a Windows machine or an Android phone, Focus Keeper reaches it and Pomo does not.
Focus Keeper is positioned for people with ADHD and describes itself as an organizer. Pomo makes no such claim; it is a timer with a record.
Pomo has a native Mac app. It lives in the menu bar without a Dock icon, hides listed apps while a session runs, and turns listed websites away in Safari, Chrome, Arc, Brave, Edge, Vivaldi and Opera, with a commitment mode that locks pause and reset. Focus Keeper on the Mac is the iPad app.
In Pomo every duration is free: focus, short break, long break and the length of the cycle, set on the faders behind the little door. Reviews of Focus Keeper listed in November 2026 mention the break length being held for Pro. Pomo's record of use, streak, iCloud sync, Apple Calendar export and CSV export are free as well, with no account to make and no in-app purchases.
Pomo collects nothing. The app has no analytics and the only network use is iCloud sync of your own record. Common Sense Media has flagged Focus Keeper on privacy, as listed in November 2026; read their note and Focus Keeper's own policy before deciding what weight to give it.

Choose Focus Keeper if you want a timer with a very large base of users behind it, need it on the web or Android, or want its ADHD-oriented organizer. Choose Pomo if you work at a Mac, want the blocker and free durations without a subscription, and want a timer that collects nothing. Pomo is awaiting App Review in November 2026.
Focus Keeper offers no export of its history, so nothing carries over; the record in Pomo starts fresh. Records from Pomofocus, Session, Toggl Track, spreadsheets and calendar files can be read in with the Import button on the record card.
